R.A.W Fine Art Alliance was started four years ago by Melvin King, a local and nationally known artist, and a group of concerned art lovers with an interest in bridging the gap between artists and the community, to share the vision of the artists and the inspiration behind their work. (R.A.W) Real Art Work Fine Art Alliance continues to be an organization committed to the promotion and education of fine art in the community.

The Mission of Real Art Work Fine Art Alliance is to promote educational awareness and foster appreciation of fine art in the African American community. Our mission is addressed by providing an exhibition of artist, lecture series and our interactive Children’s Gallery.

The 2006 R.A.W Fine Art Show promises to exceed its reputation of offering the finest art exhibition, lecture series and Children’s Gallery that will best represent our community and the city of Chicago.
